Sebasticook Lake runs about four thousand three hundred acres right at the edge of town. The Elm Street ramp is two lanes of concrete with a dock and paved parking, and since the marina opened there is dockage and a seaplane base on the water as well.
Fifteen minutes north, Lake Wassookeag in Dexter is deep, clean, and full of boats that get used every weekend. Between the two lakes and the Hamlin's lot, this corridor moves a lot of hulls.
Newport also sits on the sled network. The Sebasticook Valley and Corundel Raiders clubs run trail through here, and Wassookeag covers Dexter. Seat work picks up as soon as the boats come out.

What Sebasticook and Route 7 customers ask.
Can I drop off just the seats?
Yes, and most Newport customers do. Seats, cushions, and covers travel fine on their own. Only new canvas needs the whole boat, because the pattern comes off the frame.
How far is the shop from Newport?
About thirty miles, call it forty minutes up Route 7 through Corinna and Dexter. We also come down that way regularly if a boat cannot make the trip.
Is re-covering a pontoon cheaper than buying new furniture?
Almost always, and the result is usually better. Factory pontoon furniture is thin foam over particle board. We rebuild the base in marine plywood and put real foam in it, so it outlasts the original.
Do you make covers for boats stored outside?
Yes. A fitted winter cover is built with enough pitch to shed snow rather than pond it, and it goes back on year after year instead of being cut off and thrown away every April.
Do you take commercial work?
Restaurant booths, waiting-room chairs, and medical and chiropractic tables, yes. Same shop, same materials, and we can usually work around your hours so the room is not out of service on a weekend.
